The invention relates to rolling production, namely, universal dual-use stands for rolling mills, used as double-roll stands, as well as a device for replacing the rolls of universal stands and two-roll stands of rolling mills.
The purpose of the invention is to simplify and reduce the cost of construction.

The twin roll stand 1 and universal stand 2 are made in the form of support blocks 3, including the base 4, pressure screws 5 for adjusting the gauge of the rolls, thereby forming the first block 6 mounted on the base plate 7.

The differences in the designs of twin-roll and universal stands relate to the execution of horizontal rolls 11 and 12, respectively, of the fourth block 13 and the fifth block 14 with vertical rolls.
The fourth unit 13 contains the rollers 11 and the wire reinforcement 15 for holding the equipment, while the fifth unit 16 includes the rolls 12 of the universal stand, the wire reinforcement 17 of the universal stand for holding the equipment and the third block 8 including vertical mill rolls 9.
The wire fittings 15 and 17, respectively, of the two-roll stand and the universal stand are attached to the beds 4 by mounting the rods 18 into the receiving openings 19 of the beds and fixing them with forked clamps 20 made in the form of forks, which are inserted into the peripheral grooves 21 formed on the rods 18 by machining.
Beds 4 are made with outer protrusions 22, which have two grooves 23 and 24. The latter interact with the hydraulic clamping ring 25, fixing the protrusions 22 to the stand 26, thereby ensuring the location of the pre-mounted unit or stands according to its functioning - as a double-roll or universal stand rolling mill.
Beds 4 are also made with internal protrusions 27, the support surfaces 28 of which are intended for lateral arrangement of third blocks 8 with vertical rolling rollers.
The rods 29 of the universal stand cooperate with the internal projections 27 and secure the vertical rolls with clamps 20. The internal projections 27 also contain means for fastening the pressure screws 5, which cooperate with the respective beds 4. The pressure screws 5 are connected by means of an adjusting unit, the projections 22 mainly located near the vertical axis of the bed 4.
Racks 26 are arranged in pairs on frames 30, which are located on the female beam 31. Racks 26 may be stationary or movable. The beam 31 together with the frames 30 and the uprights 26 forms the base plate 7.

This third block 8 is moved by a second block 10 to a fixed rack 44, where hydraulic clamps 50 secure the third block 8 and allow it to be disconnected from the second block 10 by removing clamps 20 that are attached to rods 29 of a universal stand rigidly attached to the frame four.
The work is carried out in a similar way when it is necessary to transform a two-roll stand 1 into a universal stand 2 of a rolling mill, the third, node 8 is pre-positioned on a fixed stand 44 and is taken up by a movable support 43, which moves the first node 6. The advantages of the invention in comparison with the known solution are that it allows to simplify maintenance, standardize components and parts, reduce maintenance time, use smaller areas, pre-adjust and adjust roll gauges.
